•Identify causes of acquired brain injury and the associated medical complications.
•Distinguish clinical differences between coma, vegetative and minimally conscious stages of recovery.
•Discuss rehabilitation care needs based upon the stage of recovery.
•Describe neurobehavioral management strategies that will limit aggression and produce adaptive strategies for successful recovery.
•Discuss discharge options for community re-integration.
